Edouard Hue is above all a dancer who puts his physicality at the service of pure movement. As a dancer, he explores extremes with choreographers\u00a0Hofesh Shechter, Damien Jalet and Olivier Dubois<\/b>. Nourished by these contrasting experiences, Hue constantly seeks to push the limits of the body and movement, exploring extraordinary sensations. In 2019, he received the\u00a0Swiss Dance Prize<\/b>\u00a0as an \u201cExceptional Dancer\u201d.<\/p>\n

In 2014, he founded the\u00a0Beaver Dam Company<\/b>, based in Geneva (Switzerland), with which he affirms his vision of dance as an ode to emotional release, transcended by demanding choreographic complexity. In 11 years with the company, he has created nine original works in solo, duo, trio, quintet, septet and nonet, including the major pieces\u00a0All I Need<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Dive<\/i>. His creations, recognized on the international scene, are acclaimed by critics.<\/p>\n

Edouard Hue also creates choreographic commissions for prestigious companies: in 2018, he composed the\u00a0\u201cDomine Jesu\u201d<\/i>\u00a0section for\u00a0Requiem<\/i>\u00a0by\u00a0Yoann Bourgeois,<\/b>\u00a0remounted\u00a0Into Outside<\/i>\u00a0in 2019 for the\u00a0Frontier Danceland Company<\/b>\u00a0(Singapore), created\u00a0No Matter<\/i>\u00a0in 2020 for the\u00a0Gauthier Dance Company<\/b>\u00a0(Stuttgart),\u00a0Titan<\/i>\u00a0in 2022 for the\u00a0Ballet Basel<\/b>, and\u00a0The Firebird<\/i>\u00a0in 2023 for the\u00a0Ballet of the Grand-Avignon Opera.<\/b>\u00a0In July 2024,\u00a0Angelin Preljocaj<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Laurent Hilaire<\/b>\u00a0invite him to create\u00a0Skinny Hearts<\/i>\u00a0for the\u00a0Bayerisches Staatsballett<\/b>\u00a0(Munich). In 2026, he will continue his work with the\u00a0Geneva Chamber Orchestra<\/b>\u00a0and the\u00a0Ballet of the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve<\/b>\u00a0for the Electrofaunes event (Geneva) and he will create a new piece for the\u00a0Scottish Dance Theater<\/b>\u00a0(Dundee). He will revisit\u00a0Natural Histories<\/i>\u00a0by\u00a0Maurice Ravel<\/b>\u00a0for the\u00a0Ballet du Rhin<\/b>\u00a0(Mulhouse) in 2027.<\/p>\n
