Xiexin Dance Theatre - Press reviews
After a six-week tour in Europe, during which they travelled through Spain, Switzerland, France and Germany, the Chinese company Xiexin Dance Theatre will finish in Germany with the European premiere of T.I.M.E. on April 4th in Darmstadt.
After that, they will go back to China, having made their mark. From IN was a great success in all the venues where it was presented.
Involved in the tour, the press praised the company in various articles:
“The dancers push the boundaries of flexibility, creating movements that do not seem humanly possible. (…) There is something very different about the performance of Xie Xin and her dancers. (…) Xin chooses a simple concept and executes the choreography brilliantly.”
Sarita RAO, Luxembourg Times
“Xiexin Dance Theatre, excellence from China (…) A beautiful, fragile and graceful dance performance.
Michel Schroeder, Seitung vum Lëtzebuerger Vollek

“An elegant and poetic dance that explores the question of encounter. (…) To see these bodies dancing together with such grace and intensity is overwhelming.
Sortir La Provence
“Phantasmagoria, poetry, borrowings from hip hop and classical dance, abstract music, new rhythms, new games for the bodies of his exceptional dancers, costumes as fluid as the water of the sea: Xie Xin defies time, space and all conformism. (…) The poetry of this enigmatic creation will be draped in peace and elegance, far from the fury of the world.
René Galvez, Le Dauphiné libéré
“From In is a very challenging work. Different in content and form, it shares many new and welcome concerns with the audience. It forces you to actively participate in the performance, which makes it a breathtaking adventure.”
Ágreda L.M., Tribuna Valladolid

Shiver / All I Need from 17 to 28 January 2023 at La Scala, Paris (FR)
Brought to the stage for the first time by Brigitte Lefèvre at the Cannes Dance Festival in 2021, this programme presents the physical and expressive dance of Edouard Hue. The choreographer explores the extremes and transformations of the body. Voted Swiss Dance Award 2019 as “Outstanding Dancer”, he is becoming a highly visible figure in the choreographic landscape.

A powerful programme
The evening opens with the duet Shiver, which was created for the Yokohama Ballet Festival. The piece is a veritable discharge of sensations. Technically highly demanding, the duet unfolds in an uncluttered space that emphasises movement that combines virtuosity and precision.
All I Need, the choreographer’s signature piece, continues the evening. This ballet for 9 dancers vacillates between narrativity and intensity. Edouard Hue delivers a raw dance in a piece inspired by the game of go. All I Need opened the prestigious Epidaurus Festival in Athens, Greece last June.
This evening is a perfect representation of Edouard Hue’s work. Nourished by his career as a dancer in international companies such as Hofesh Shechter, Olivier Dubois and Damien Jalet, he now asserts himself in a choreographic style that combines mastery and spontaneity.

The artistic and production agency from Charente completes its transformation
One year after presenting its new name to the dance world, the Delta Danse agency is completing its formal transformation with the redesign of its website and the renewal of its graphic charter. 25 years after its creation, the agency founded by Thierry Duclos under the name “Le Trait d’Union” continues its mission of intermediary between high-flying dance companies and the partner theatres and festivals that host them.

A change of identity
In 2021, the agency has decided to change its name to enable it to be better anchored internationally, particularly with its two subsidiaries in Madrid and Berlin, and its development towards Asia. The official announcement took place in Biarritz, during the festival Le Temps d’Aimer la Danse. The aesthetic transition was made smoothly through communication adapted from that of Le Trait d’Union, which is well established with our loyal partners.
2022 sees the end of this visual evolution and the beginning of a new era. The raspberry pink, which has accompanied the agency since its beginnings, turns to passion red and punctuates the pages of our famous seasonal brochure. The website has a new look, the grey background has been replaced by a light pink, like an optimism that can withstand the crises we are going through Accompanied in this evolution by the Charente communication agency 16h33, we wanted to renew ourselves and adapt to our times.
If the form changes, the content remains the same, the mission unchanged: to facilitate the link between the venues and the companies we represent. With 25 years of experience, the agency intends to continue promoting and distributing dance companies for another quarter century!
