Delta Danse Agency

A dance agency

Delta Danse (formerly Le Trait d’Union) was created in 1997 out of a militant desire to promote classically trained dancers and so-called “ballet” companies.

Today, it is one of the agencies entirely dedicated to dance that is the most recognized in the European distribution network. Thanks to its dynamism and the recognition it has gained from its historical networks, the agency continues to develop throughout Europe – in particular through correspondents in Berlin and Madrid – as well as in North America and Asia.

Delta Danse, a true artistic network !

Much more than a simple intermediary, Delta Danse positions itself as an influential player in the artistic network, serving both companies and venues:

  • for the choreographers and companies; by accompanying and supporting them in their development through their promotion in venues. This approach implies a total commitment to each of these artistic projects as well as a great deal of trust and loyalty with the partner choreographers and companies.
  • for the venues; by gaining their trust through proposals that are always demanding and of very high quality. To have a wide range of proposals while keeping a logic and a legibility on the artistic approach. By this requirement, Delta Danse wants to be one of the privileged partners of the programming places by establishing a durable relation of loyalty.

In September 2021, a new chapter opened for the agency. “Le Trait d’Union”, often difficult to translate and remember outside the French-speaking world, changed its identity to become Delta Danse. This choice was made in order to harmonise our international presence. Accompanied by its brand new logo, Delta Danse will retain the same values and intentions of the original name, while making it easier to understand and read abroad.

Delta Danse exists thanks to your trust, and we hope to keep it for a long time.

Thierry Duclos

Since 1997, Delta Danse has been connecting artists with the stage, and movement with the audience. Like the estuary that opens the river to the sea, we strive to be a gateway and a link.
The Greek letter Δ, a symbol of transformation and balance, embodies our mission: to create a dynamic space between creators, programmers, and producers.

Originally founded as Trait d’Union, our agency has always championed a sensitive vision of dance—the universal language of the body in motion. Now recognized as one of the major European agencies entirely dedicated to dance, Delta Danse supports both emerging companies and renowned choreographers, promoting singular works with consistency and loyalty.

Loyalty

We believe in collaborations built on trust and longevity. It is through the long term that solid relationships, constructive exchanges, and ambitious projects are forged.

Expertise & high standards

Composed of former dancers and passionate professionals, our team offers rigorous and human support at every stage of the tour. We advocate for a strong artistic vision, driven by a commitment to quality, consistency, and sustainability.

Discovery & openness

Convinced of the power of dance as a universal language, our ambition is to bring new voices to the forefront. We promote the circulation of works and cultures to reach an ever-wider audience through an art form without borders, where the body and emotion become powerful catalysts for understanding and connection.

Support & responsibility

Our commitments are as much artistic as they are human. Our relationships with both companies and programmers are built on trust, proximity, guidance, and listening.
Committed to a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach, we are mindful of our ecological impact and dedicated to building sustainable and respectful collaborations.

Promoting the circulation of dance and ideas

We champion a vibrant and demanding vision of dance. To promote the mobility of works, we build cohesive tours by prioritizing extended residencies and engagements, fostering meaningful connections with audiences.

Supporting emerging choreography

Delta Danse is dedicated to identifying and supporting new talent. We help emerging choreographers structure their distribution, refine their artistic voice, and engage programmers. This spotlight on new work is made possible by the lasting international collaborations that have shaped the agency’s history.

Maintaining a constant dialogue with our partners

Our privileged relationships with performance venues allow us to build true partnerships based on long-term collaboration. Our role is to listen, anticipate needs, and serve as the link between the artists’ vision and the programmers’ expectations.

Delta Danse supports companies in developing their projects, both in France and internationally. From distribution strategy to the logistical follow-up of tours, our team offers tailor-made support, adapted to the realities of each artist and every work.

Distribution

With a broad network of partners in France and abroad, our Touring & Booking department actively prospects venues that align with the nature of the works and the artistic ambitions of the companies. It handles negotiations and plans cohesive national and international tours, prioritizing the pooling of dates and travel logistics.

Production

The Production department handles the logistical, technical, and administrative organization of tours. It coordinates the hosting of companies from arrival to departure, ensuring the best possible working and living conditions while on the road.
Present on the ground, the production team oversees every stage of the process, maintaining direct communication with local partners.

Administration

The Administrative department supports artists in all their procedures: grant applications, contracting, and budget monitoring.
Beyond management, it plays a role in strategic consulting and analysis, enabling companies to structure their projects sustainably and optimize their resources.

Communication

The Communication department acts as the link between companies and venues to ensure their visual and editorial identity is respected. It promotes the works through various media and channels, while supporting artists in matters related to their image, visibility, and positioning.
