Created in 2023 – Duration 60min

With this new piece, Souhail Marchiche and Mehdi Meghari question current society and the emancipation of bodies. They are once again inviting us to revolt with this fictional dance under pressure.

Under the alcoves of a place of worship that gradually opens up into a vast space of light, the 9 dancers are gripped by a Dance Fever, oscillating between light and darkness, strangely reminiscent of the mysterious evil that spread through Strasbourg at the beginning of the 16th century.

Like a shudder that gradually sweeps through the whole group, this galvanising frenzy frees up bodies on the verge of implosion. Reflecting an individual revolt facing the harmful everyday life, it may also be a metaphor for the shared despair of a people in distress…

The dance and music act as a catalyst, triggering a chain reaction that culminates in the climax of this rite: a collective trance, which will define a redemptive or fatal end for the group.
