Storie

The Storie show is divided into several parts:

Preludio

Choreography: Diego Tortelli
Music: AAVV
Lighting: Carlo Cerri
Created in 2021
Duration: 16 min

Preludio immerses us in the union of two worlds: the “village festival” of a small Italian provincial town that meets the “electro-underground” scene of the European metropolis. Two different atmospheres, but quite similar in terms of dance in unison and moment of sharing. Two different contexts, but with the same feeling of freedom.

Another Story

Choreography: Diego Tortelli
Music: Spiritualized
Music consultant: Federico Bigonzetti
Lighting: Carlo Cerri
Created in 2021
Duration: 20 min

With this piece, Diego Tortelli wants to tell a new story of the most feared and at the same time the most desired gesture of this year 2020, hit by a global epidemic: the embrace. Another Story thus becomes a solitary embrace, a shared embrace, a violent, painful, tiring and even desired, hidden, intimate, idolized embrace… the only prediction we cannot rely on is how this simple gesture will continue its mutation…

"O"

Choreography: Philippe Kratz
Music: Mark Pritchard and The Field
Costume design: Francesca Messori
Lighting: Carlo Cerri
Created in 2018
Duration: 12 min

Exploring the theme of infinity, the duo “O” presents two human beings or two robots celebrating the state of transcendence and emotional fulfillment, both moving to the never-ending beat of their unstoppable hearts. Philippe Kratz questions a future of inorganic communication. In 2018, the piece was awarded first prize at the Hannover Choreographic Competition.

Alpha Grace

Choreography: Philippe Kratz
Music: Barrio Sur (Dedekind Cut), Fela Kuti
Lighting: Carlo Cerri
Created in 2021
Duration: 21 min

Following the future-oriented piece “O”, Alpha Grace turns to the past, to the essential, and in this case, to two of our perhaps most important virtues: compassion and empathy. A state that allows us to truly understand the other, not to see him/her as different, to learn to feel his/her own emotions and thus know his/her value.
